Presently, when police, sheriff or any law enforcment vehicle comes up behind a vehicle, the only way they can know the dmv about that vehicle, is for him or her to pull the data. That requires a manual input of that license plate. Usually that is preceded by a event, speeding, running a red light or if there has been some event to cause that information to be pulled. Enter the "Vehicle DMV Scanner System. With this system, all licenmse plates will be outfitted with a rfid sticker either placed on the tag when its fabricated or embedded within the "plastic" license plate. The scanner, much like a radar detector would automatically retreive the vehicles dmv data without the officers input. This way the officer knows if thew car has been stolen or if the license plate hhas been stolen. If the vehicle from California was stolen 3 days ago and should be approached with extreme caution. The system will give law enforcement street control and management that they presently do not have. Now I said "plastic" license plate because rfid radio waves will not bouce back from a metal surface. To get the system up and running, a plastic area can inserted in a metal license plate to show how it can be done. The license plate will not carry the vehicles dmv data arround with it, like a credit card. It will only retrieve a number from the license plate, theyby initiating the dmv system to get the data associated with that number. The capability ti do this is there. Help me get this system developed and we really take a step forward to make this country safer.
