Luggage Cases for Hire/Storage | |||||||||||||||||
Each year when I go on vacation I wish I did not have to dig my luggage cases out from under the stairs or the attic. If I could hire cases instead, I would most likely get more modern looking and better quality luggage than I currently possess. Alternatively if there was a depot where I could store my cases then at least I would not have to worry about the storage issue - my house is short on space. Maybe this exists in some regions but not in my area unfortunately. So, my idea is for a business that hires and/or stores luggage (for a nice fee of course!).

There are companies renting small storage spaces at reasonable rent.
Specially your idea about hiring in bag for a few days could work in combination with a shop where a customer is also offered this choice alongside a purchase.
Only problem is the botheration of travelling, first to get it and then to return. The unit cost these days has come down to very affordable levels, therefore, to avoid this botheration, probably, people would prefer to buy, unless the shop is very nearby or I get them delivered and picked up by the renting company.
This is how I perceive it.
Thanks for your comment Naresh. I take your point about the bother - perhaps then there is some merit in the storage issue? Possibly collapsible luggage is easier to store but still looks good and is robust when expanded?
