you'll notice that there's a special sun shade for a baby/toddler sitting next to a car window (called Car Glare Guard Window Sun Shade). It blocks out blinding sunlight, and unlike other similar sun shades, the child can see through. (You'd have to go to the website to see a picture which speaks a thousand words.)

My parents got one for an infant brother, and I was so impressed with it that I wonder why such things can not be put on windshields of cars upon the wish of the drivers? Or better yet, why not design light sensors which can automatically shade the applicable windows under sunlight, and remove it under less light?

Of course, it must avoid shading car windows when, at nighttime, a car in front or back uses high-beam lights.
