The RIGHT Welfare | |||||||||||||||||
I believe we can save a lot of money by welfare (I'm suggesting eliminating welfare) by giving them cheap multivitamin supplements in place of a decrease in handouts. This would also mean fewer visits to physicians. The only issue that may come up is that the cheapest multivitamin supplements are not kosher.

Excuse me, but the HTML did not come out right.
What I meant was that we can reduce welfare by giving multivitamin supplements in place of a decreased handout. We can also save money by them not going to doctors as often.
But the least expensive multivitamin supplements are not kosher.
By the way, some vitamins are fat-soluble and must be taken together with some fat in order to function as a body nutrient.
It's fascinating that all the problems of being poor can be traced to a lack of proper vitamins.
During the administration of former California governor Pete Wilson, there was talk of requiring all welfare mothers to receive contraceptive implants. I understand it never went anywhere, because of opposition from various christian groups.
Are you confusing welfare aid with food stamps? Those programs (in the US) are administered by different agencies, for different purposes, to meet different goals, and are not necessarily overlapping. Qualifying for welfare doesn't automatically guarantee access to food stamps, nor does qualifying for food stamps guarantee access to welfare support.
Food stamps are administered by the Agriculture Department, as a part of the farm subsidies. Welfare is administered by HHR (formerly known as HEW).
It would, in fact, be cheaper to automatically send welfare checks to people whose tax returns indicate a less-than-poverty-level income than the present form of administration- that is, it presently costs about $10 in administration costs for every $1 paid to recipients...
