Windscreen wash auto fill | |||||||||||||||||
Why don't car manufacturers use the condensation that comes out of the aircondition system to replenish the water in the windscreen wash reservoir rather than allow it to simply drip onto the road. I have experimented with this and collected over a litre of water from the aircondition system in a days driving here in Cyprus.

Although this might alleviate he water problem to a certain extent there are detergent additives that must be renewed.
Not enough water is collected to make it worthwhile.
What part of the air conditioning system is the water coming out of? On my vehicle the condensation forms on the outside of the system and drips down the firewall.
The water comes from the moisture that forms around the evaporator and there is a drain pipe underneath the evaporator. Basically the evaporator is cold and the warm air that comes in contact with it forms condensation. The same as when you take a water bottle out of the cold fridge and place it on the table in summer.
