My idea is a trackball that is hand-held. Like a pistol-grip with the trackball on the upper back for thumb control, and the right/left click buttons in front for index and middle finger control. A handheld track ball would be so much more comfortable than having your hand up on a desk for long periods.

As an industrial designer my understanding of the shape of the object is only vague but with the proper ergonomic control I can see this as a very good innovation.
