Cell Phone Signal Scrambler | |||||||||||||||||
Cell phone use is a factor in large percentages of traffic accidents. Why not install cell signal scramblers in cars which activate when a car is either 1) in drive/in gear 2) activated at a certain mph (if there is a correlation between speed with cell phone use and accidents 3) mandatory for teenagers.

The best limit on improper cell phone use is individual good judgment. It would be a tragedy if lives were lost by general provisions to prevent cell phone use in some critical situations.
Idiot. People that actually have viable and important connections to the outside world rely on the ability to contact people around them. It's how many businessmen survive, it's how the cell phone began it's career. Over-control dampens progress. I sincerely hope that you stay as you are, a pathetic dreamer with no mental tie to the activities of the world around you.
This is a good idea to enforce the law. But passengers often use their cell phone which does not significantly affect the driver. A small sensor over the drivers seat could detect the cell phone operation by the driver near their head and then jam the transmissions.
But it would be better to require car manufactures provide automated bluetooth communications packages so that the passengers and driver can use the cell phone hands free. In mass production such technologies are extraordinarily inexpensive.
Just put very very high fines ($500 first time, $2,000 second time, $5,000 third, forth $20,000 and take away lic) for using cell phone while driving!!
This can be easily done and localized so that only the driver is affected, however last I read it's illegal to jam or interfere with radio signals in the United States.
