I think Jigsaw puzzles without any cover illustration whatsoever would be an interesting challenge. The idea is that you assemble the jigsaw without any help from a cover illustration. Obviously you do not then have the option of choosing a puzzle whose picture you like, but, I believe the challenge would be more interesting, the completion process would be more intriguing, and the end product is likely to be more satisfying than is the case with the conventional approach.

This would be an excellent thing to to do motivate a person to kill themselves after twenty minutes.
I like this idea but with a modification. Jigsaw puzzles without illustration at all, so you can draw/paint anything on it. You could create self-made unique puzzles - I think that could be a nice and personal gift to someone... to avoid the self killing mentioned above, these blank puzzles shouldn't contain many parts, not 1000 pieces type, only fewer, bigger pieces.
