If you've ever started a new diet, you know the routine: Get rid of the "bad" foods and restock the pantry & fridge with "good" food.

I imagine that literally tons of food gets thrown away every month because people start new diets. Meanwhile there are plenty of hungry people out there.

So we have a surplus of food being thrown away and a deficit of food in hungry people.

Set up a local food bank offering to collect food from anyone who is starting a new diet! Heck, the food bank could even have guidelines helping people clean out their kitchens depending on what diet they are starting!

This idea could be implemented as a new not-for-profit organization, but would probably be more efficiently executed by an established food charity.

THINK BIG: To really move things along, contact publishers & diet authors and suggest they put an insert promoting the concept in every single diet book they print/sell!
