If you could edit ideas, you could refine and improve them following the comments received.

Editing would be super. I often cannot see obvious errors until later and would like to be able to correct them.

Strangely, there is an edit option but when I hit Save on the edit box nothing happens to the comment. Something needs revision.

We may not want to have the proposals edited after others have voted on them.

We should at least be able to edit comments. I just made a mistake on one.

Please, please implement this! I didn't read the fine print of what HTML tags you can use, and now my idea contains an uninterpreted ordered list that makes it nearly unreadable.

At the very least, let me delete my idea and re-post it.

As I wrote above, I don't think that an idea should be edited after others have voted on it, but it may be good to have an "update" box, where the original author can add additional details and clarify points.

We should ABSOLUTELY be able to edit a comment, or delete it and start over! But then the authors of this apparently aren't much on proofreading and editing. Just look at the glaring spelling error in the instructions for this add comment window.
