I think that someone should invent a email program that would automatically send junk email or spam back to its originator. If everybody could do this I think it would overload the computers or servers of people sending junk email.

Most of the spam comes from scripts anyway. A lot of them use mainstream online free e-mail accounts like Hotmail anyway. Unfortunately it's just one of those things we have to deal with.
Spammers almost always spoof the reply-to address - they aren't stupid enough to put their own return address on them. So you'd be swamping innocent servers with your automated replies and it would have no affect on the spammers.
spam is illegal, so sendig it back to whoever is also illegal
I am using a gmail account and I forgot that spam exists. Even if I get hundreds of them each day, all of them are going to a spam folder. So I don't care about spam anymore
