A Nintendo-themed kids' restaurant, along the lines of Chuck E. Cheese's and Bullwinkle's. Serve generic, kid-friendly, "Italian" food: pizza, spaghetti, macaroni. Make a licensing deal with Nintendo to use their characters in exchange for promoting their products.

The decor is a combination of faux Italian restaurant and Mario World: checked tablecloths, wait staff with large moustaches, fluffy clouds, turtles.

A large play area within the restaurant would feature Nintento games: both arcade and home console. A big-screen display shows the action on one randomly-selected game machine (of the ones currently active).

Other features:

- accomodates large groups for birthday parties

- animatronic Nintendo characters

- gift shop featuring Nintento-themed trinkets

Worth a try, though I think it would have been a bigger hit in the 80s. The Mario world and characters does seem to lend itself well to something like your idea. The ballroom can look like one of the catles with entrances looking like giant pipes. I can definitely visualise this!
