Stick-O-Butter | |||||||||||||||||
I was just thinking this yesterday as I was trying to butter my corns-on-the-cob on the grill... I didn't want to use Pam (I hate those spray things) so went into get a stick of butter. I should have known it...the whole buttering process was a mess. I had to unpeel the butter stick, cut it with a knife and spread it onto the corn on the cob and it didn't spread evenly. Then I though, wouldn't it be great to have a portable butter stick that works just like a glue stick? You can spread it on your corn, bread, biscuits and control your intake as well. The only problem is, I want to integrate a device in the stick that cuts the edge of the butter stick after each use...I am in the process but I am not so certain!

I've seen a butter dispenser that you put a stick into, then crank a piston from one end. The butter is fluid enough that it compresses out a long ribbon from a little slot at the other end.
I expect it's messy to clean this tool, and I've only seen it once. Pretty cool, though.
