While Executive Coaching is a rich discipline that is gaining wider acceptance and use in corporate circles, here is a simple mechanism to "get people in action" towards those commitments that are important to them.

Create a website where idividuals can selectively or randomly join a coaching circle of approximately six-ten people. Each person must: 1)list a specific and measurable commitment that they are working towards (losing 20 pounds in six months; reading two books a month; not cursing all week at work) and 2) commit to check into the site at least weekly with their status and "brief" comments that either congratulate others on meeting their commitments or encouraging them to follow through.

People can organize randomly or by similar topic. If circles are not working, people can drop out and join other circles. You can also block the comments of certain individuals if you find they are not helpful. Money can be made through targeted advertising, related books, on those topics etc.
