Why is it the human eye is limited to just seeing it's current level and no better? What limits the range of both distance and size/scale of objects humans can perceive. For instance, a car several miles away couldn't be seen by the unaided eye nor can the microscopic world. Species of animals obviously have much better range/abilities than we do as far as vision goes. What role does our physical size play in out sight. Does a larger mammal have the ability to see farther or does an ant or some other tiny insect have the ability to see in the microscopic world? What could we do to push that vision envelope and dramatically increase our vision abilities? If other abilities can be improved like physical strength, learning, etc. WHY NOT sight or even other senses like hearing, etc.?

If you are asking why biologically you can only see so much, it is simply because that fits the needs of a hominid, or at least the branch we belong to.
IF you are asking for a fix, there is a science called optics which you should study up on, to learn how Man has manipulated light to see the world close-up and afar.
