Virtually all large tennis bags used by competitive tennis players to carry racquets and gear are manufactured with shoulder straps that run from one end of the bag to the other. Thus, when using the shoulder straps to carry the bag on one's back, the bag sags below the shoulders. Worse, a child toting one of these bags suffers the bottom of the bag banging against the back of her legs. Why not attach the shoulder straps lower on the bag, so that the bag is carried higher -- like a hiker's backpack? The weight will be better distributed, and at least as to junior players will be less cumbersome.
