Anti-robbery gas | |||||||||||||||||
Have you ever wondered of making up a new system to stop burglars once they are in the inside of your house? Well, I have. I do not know how effective could it be, but it could work. It consists on putting a gas system that releases a non toxic nor blistering material when the alarm goes off, so thieves are not able to watch items that could be stolen. The desperation would lead them out of your home. The smaller the house, more effective is the effect. Please comment, I would like to hear your positive or negative comment. Suggestions are welcome.

I do beleive that booby traps are illegal around these parts. Don't know about where you are. Still not a good idea . . .
it may work but threre are better solutions
I can imagine the effect this would have on emergency response personel trying to save your house someday. I bet they would not be amused.
Good point on the booby traps KOing the fire service...or your kids when they mess with it....
I will stick to my 12 gauge thanks...dont forget your childlocks on all your guns!
Based on nine years in the alarm business, I can tell you that the combo of strong doors and windows and a good alarm system is best. It doesn't have to call the cops, just make a lot of noise. Also, place decals advertising the alarm system, because that alone will deter many crooks (amateurs).
Look up the court case, Katco v. Briney, and see what the courts think of using harmful traps to protect property.
