LIGHTS ON wireless camera | |||||||||||||||||
I want a wireless transmitter just a little larger than the AAA battery that powers it, with a stickum back so I can position it discretely near where my sons read at night -- like, on the back of their bed's headboard. The transmitter doesn't transmit an image or sound; that would be too invasive of their privacy. All it does is transmit light. A corresponding gadget in the parents' room would glow if child A had his light on. There would have to be settable channels, so we could distinguish between child A and child B in their respective bedrooms. This wouldn't defeat getting under the covers with a flashlight. My boys aren't that ambitious, though. If they can't read (or play with their DS) comfortably, maybe they'd go to sleep. It's always a struggle for them to get up in the morning, because they won't go to sleep when they're told to at night. The wireless cam could also be used to detect whether lights were left on in the laundry room or anywhere else, for the energy-aware. Batteries are a bummer, from that viewpoint. I haven't had much luck with rechargeables; they don't seem to charge.
