The purpose of this idea is to how to make people with facial disfigurements more accepted by society.

Remember in V For Vendetta how the main character V was horribly burned but he looked gorgeous when clothed in his Guy Fawkes mask and clothing? I loved his fashion sense.

How about a movie where some gorgeous woman (played by high-talent actress) is horribly disfigured. She hides her disfigurement in a manner where you can not tell that she is disfigured unless she is unclothed. Give her a catchy wardrobe and mask. Furthermore, have the character be a real source of inspiration about rising above bigotry and oppression, a task that V accomplished. Do not have the movie simply made to help uplift the spirits of those with disfigured faces, but have it be made simply to tell a great story.

The studio behind the movie could make a major effort to promote the mask on the fashion market. Hopefully, both people with and without facial disfigurements will want to wear the mask.

Although face disfigurement may be a demoralizing difficulty the concept that everybody will acquire masks to remedy the problems of a minority of people seems somewhat beyond fantasy. There are laws now limiting the use of face masks in public and in general masking is not looked well upon for public use. In the age of terrorism there would be legal difficulties.

Some muslim countries keep their women covered with a thing that has a kind of screen in front to see and breathe through. Just extend that to the men, and you're there.

Mel Gibson made a movie, 'Man Without a Face' that had a theme related to this.

Personally, I believe we're programmed by evolution to shun others that are 'different' in order to exclude mutations which in many cases are detrimental. A facial disfigurement is not a mutation, but to say an ape, his 'instincts' have no way of knowing what might be a genetic disease verses an occurrance.

I own animals and I've seen how they tend to exclude and even pick-on the one thats a different color, even though sometimes a mutation or difference can be benificial.

What terrorism? You are afraid? Then it's your ism. Mask (or burka) away, nothing will change.
