Street light bulbs with wifi | |||||||||||||||||
Since light poles are up high and have power... why not create a light bulb with a wifi access point? it could be modular... meaning that the light bulb screws to the socket, and on the opposite end, theres a connector (maybe usb?) for the wifi access point. they could all connect together creating a network... you get the idea... and then used with my other idea... the accident/vehicle data network... ;)

You could send the data over the electricity cable and then tranmit via wifi at the point it reaches the bulb.
The WiFi system would be separate from the lighting fixture, but attached to the light pole nonetheless. It would wirelessly connted with a larger "supernetwork", whose nodes may be fibre connected to network centers.
