Reducing plastic water bottles | |||||||||||||||||
People should be encouraged to use tap water which is purified at great cost instead of buying bottled water which is usually in plastic bottles that end up in land fill. How about using glass bottles, fill them up from the tap and putting them in the fridge so you get great fresh chilled water straigh to your dinner table. The glass bottle can them be cleaned and reused forever or until it breaks.

yeah, we've got one and it's so cheap and easy.
govt should give them out like the free lightbulbs scheme.
Like this is an original idea??? The econazis have been telling us this for years. Not that it's a bad idea or anything because bottled water is a scam, but this is WhyNot, not ReRun.
A blind taste test indicated that water from a Los Angeles city reservoir tasted better than the best bottled stuff from France.
Bottled water is indeed a scam, so keep saying it, and don't be put off by the knee-jerk conservatives.
