Bird Food Center Feeder | |||||||||||||||||
Why not have a bird feeder that hangs from the middle(top down) of the cage, instead of attached on the cage sides. This way when the birds eat, the bird seed won't fly out of the cage and all over the floor. If you have any idea on how I would go about creating a prototype, please let me know.

Because you would have to open the door to refill the feeder, increasing the chances for escaped birds, rather than refilling it from the back of the feeder? ? ? Just guessing. . .
You have to open the bird cage to get to feeders for larger birds. I had a bird and found that when it ate its food (food containers were attached ot the inside of the cage (mess factor is the same regardless of side with feeder), the seeds would go flying out of the cage onto the floor when the bird ate. If the food container is suspended from the top of the cage, in the middle, when the bird eats, the seeds that would typically fly out of the cage onto the floor, would instead, fall to the bottom of the cage. The mess would be less.
