Stirling engine refrigerator | |||||||||||||||||
Why not use a stirling engine driven by an electric motor to cool a refrigerator? People have gotten things like these down to cryogenic tempratures. Think about the impact on the enviroment- no harmful/flammable gases only air is used as the working gas. Although stirling engines are expensive if boughten, they are fairly easy to make.

Not a bad idea, The new thing is trying to be green. This seems to follow that concept.

The good news is that Samsung got it 8 years ago so we might actually see it on the market early next decade.
