We should have a contest world-wide to determine the funniest word. Hopefully this word won't be leathel (Monte Python). Don't worry I won't tell you mine, until you tell me yours.

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- Fear of long words.Possibly one of the most ironic too. It is a real word.

STIFF is quite a funny word I think. Also "Moist" can never be used in its proper context again without sounding dirty.

I think "sausage" is a funny word. In New Zealand we pronounce it "sossidge".
Antidisestablishmentarianism. It means that you are against the dismantling of the current establishment. I find it amusing because in one really long word you are saying you support the current establishment.
"Leathel" is pretty funny.

Dave Barry wrote a column or two about funny words, or maybe he just inserted paragraphs about them in his regular columns. He had some really funny nominations, mainly because of the absurd associations they brought to his mind.
Acorrding to the late Issac(sp) Hayes the word is, "Hyperbolicsylabicsesquidalimystic".
This is really two words, but I always find the phrase "edited it" silly sounding when I say it.
"Grandma had a cruddy moist bugger." There, if moist sounds dirty to you, then god help us all.
My vote ---> "Dick Army" Its not one word, but I cant help but grin when i hear that name. It sounds to made up to be real, but its real. And its politics!
I like the word helium, it brings back memories of my ancient child hood.
