AIDS TAX | |||||||||||||||||
EVERY GOVERNMENT IN THE WORLD SHOULD COLLECT ABOUT 1 PERCENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S INCOME AS AIDS TAX AND USE THIS INCOME FOR THEAIDS RESEARCH AND AIDS ERADICATION PROGRAMMES.

I know a way that AIDS could be erradicated in two weeks.
Seriously, I have so-close-to zero risk of getting AIDS because I'm faithfully married and not a drug user that I feel like the people that get AIDS through promiscuity or drug use probably deserve it. I resent them too.
I don't understand why we're trying to keep them alive longer--they'll just infect more people and they are a tremendous financial drain on the payers of insurance. They're not searching for a 'cure,' just a post-ponement.
But I mustn't forget that chronically ill people who continue to be ill are exactly what drug companies and even insurance companies benefit from.
I really have no actual malice toward AIDS people, but I don't understand why they expect the rest of society to pay for their mistake/problem. I won't pay this tax.
Charity is a personal endeavor, and I personally feel that the government should have no hand in it whatsoever. If you wish to give to AIDS research, go ahead, but philanthropic fancies don't fit into my budget.
I understand how you feel when you have to pay someone's fault.Let's pray we discover a cure as quickly as possible. Let's makea aids free world. We just want to accelarate a cure for aids.
You can have a separate dating service of AIDs/HIV + . Let themmingle among themselves, so that it stays within their own circle. It may sound cruel.
Let us be a little broad minded and contribute liberally for a worthy cause.
Aside from the mistaken notion that money is the cure for all evil I have to come down on the side of leaving charity up to the individual
Some governments fund some research. I have no problem with that. There are national security issues that need to be addressed. However, earmarking 1% of my income to fight any illness is a bit much.
There are probably thousands of "worthy" causes that would love to have 1% of the world's income for their research. If we pick the top 100 and give each 1% there is nothing left for the taxpayers.
Hrench your a c*nt. And what is your idea for erraticating aids within two weeks?
Ryanb, you know what my idea is. Tongue in cheek obviously, but it truly would irradicate aids. It's what they did for the bubonic plague and what you do for a zombie attack.
Pepindia's dating service would be nicer.
Also, if you're making a contraction of you and are, it's 'you're,' not 'your.'
You're still a cun*!
I agree with hrench. AIDS is the way God punishes gays and swingers. By the same token, God punishes people who have eyes by giving them glaucoma, and arthritis is punishment for having a skeleton.
If you don't agree, consult Jerry Falwell. Oh, sorry, I forgot, God punished him too.
Belmont, I'm surprised that you say you agree with me, but attribute God-punishment as my motive. I think you'll agree that my 'solution' isn't very Christian.
Forget that its AIDS and think of any other behaviour-based malady that insurance/everybody else pays for-- Don't I have a right to resent gang-bangers that don't pay for their gunshot-emergency-care and leave the public the bill? What about if skydivers crashed and expected free government care, then goverment research into their 'malady?'
We already know what causes it--isn't that 'research' enough?
