Design milk cartons which have a litmus strip that changes color depending on the freshness of the milk. A face could be printed over the strip - turning green when the milk is spoiled.

Doesn't a litmus strip turn color due to a chemical reaction? I'm not sure I want my milk soaking in that chemical. The other thing that occurs to me is that litmus paper is a one time test, not a continuous type test.

Probably best to just ust the "nose" test.
