wi.shoppe
seeing is believing.

-original idea by david zegen 07-08-07

wi.shoppe is the latest in world wide web shopping. with so manyinnovative products and ideas popping up everyday on the internet, consumers and business owners are struggling to keep up. wi.shoppe provides a structured opportunity for online businesses to vendor their products in a “real-life” environment.

wi.shoppe would be located in most large cities. based primarily in shopping malls where the highest consumer traffic is located. the interior of the store would consist of “departments” that showcase the variety of products available online. each department would have multiple computers that consumers can use to place their orders. the orders can then be shipped to the wi.shoppe store or to an address the consumer can specify. cash would be irrelevant as all orders would be placed on credit cards or paypal.

the wi.shoppe will allow the online business owner to send their product to any wi.shoppe location. include any marketing material and product information. the wi.shoppe employees will educate themselves on your product and do their darndest to sell it.

as a business owner, you only need to send a “display” model of your product(s)which allows you to elimate the costs of building your own store front and paying the overhead costs. this also allows you to keep your prices very low as you are still doing your business as an online vendor.

wi.shoppe locations will be clean and modern so customers feel excited to experience the world wide shopping network with all five senses. with all the amenities of conventional shopping mall, many consumers can do most of their shopping in this one centralized location.

*forecast: the most popular gift item in 2010, the wi.shoppe gift card

by 2010 wi.shoppe hopes to be located in most major cities, not just in the us but in the world.

wi.shoppe is an innovative way for consumers and online business owners to communicate and create solid business relationships.

*forecast: ebay.com and amazon.com centers located in every wi.shoppe location

in a recent fake survey, most consumers said they were 75% more likely to buy and item if they were able to use, hold, touch, see and feel the item as well as be able “test drive” prior to purchase.

every 10 square feet there will be a computer station setup so the consumer can place their order directly from the store or review the item, print it out and take it home. order at home.

*forecast: look for wi.shoppe'sin large international airports.

wi.shoppe will be the most exciting shopping experience the world has ever known. wi.shoppe, because seeing is believing

NOTE: wishoppe is a "beta" name not currently being used. for demonstration purposes only.

I totally agree

As I understand this, it's an online store that will let you go to a local storefront to see the merchandise, but not buy it. right?

This sounds sort-of reminiscent of the Sears Catalog--which soon required Sears stores to actually buy the merchandise, and in the end resulted in the demise of the catalog business. Once you're holding the thing, you might as well sell it to them.

I expect this could work, but I don't think I personnally would prefer it over ebay or amazon. I don't really think I need to see the merchandise, or if I do need to, I can usually see the same model number at a competing brick store.

Good luck.
