OU CAN HAVE PROVISION FOR FUEL RESERVE IN A PETROL/DIESEL CAR.IN CASE OF A ELECTRIC CAR A RESERVE BATTERY COULD BE INCORPORATEDIN CASE OF THE MAIN BATTERY GETTING DISCHARGED YOU COULD HOOK ONTO THE SMALL RESERVE BATTERY WHICH COULD TAKE YOU A EXTRA 8-10 KMTO THE NEAREST BATTERY BAY OR A PLACE TO CHARGE YOUR BATTERY

Some sort of warning light or sound alarm on power running out would be a lot more economical.
For the foreseeable future, pure electric cars will probably be limited to urban areas, where there will be many places to swap a battery or recharge it.
For distance driving, cars will require a small engine to recharge the battery and provide extra power as needed. This is a hybrid car.
I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT HYBRID CARS. IT IS DIFFICULT TO ESTIMATE THE POWERIN A DISCHARGING BATTERY. IN A PETROL/DIESEL CAR YOU HAVE A FFUEL GUAGE.YOU COULD ALSO HAVE A RESERVE FUEL TANK WHICH IS NOT POSSIBLE IN A CENTPER CENT HYBRID CAR.
