There are many people who want a smaller house, maybe lower monthly payment or some of the family members left the house or any other reason. And on the other hand there are many people who want a bigger house, maybe having more kids or whatever reason is. Now why there isn`t a web site or some other way can find a match for these people make them able to trade thier houses to each other and save them the forecloucre, late payment .....
This my idea i hope it works espicaly while the real estate market is too slow.

I think the biggest problem would be the establishment of the actual values of the two homes. That's why selling works now-the value is just the most a buyer will pay.
I do like your idea, though.
In addition to determining value for trade (which will also figure in for taxes and fees based on the value of the home), there would be the logistics of meeting together enough people willing to trade their homes so as everybody may get what that really want. It is logistically easier to just sell your home, and buy one that you really want.
Its going to be a financial quagmire its not as easy as trading cards or items i have worked in the mortgage industry beilve me its complicated
Love the idea and wish there was a way to make it happen. I think an accurate, bank approved appraisal process would be the key. Looks like all you would need to a website of bank approved appraisers, real estate listing and user data base.
