This site would allow people from any age group to send a message to any other age group. If an age gap is to large, I feel that comments from contributors midway would naturally translate simply by discussing the original message. This would allow people to drive a "when I was your age" stories and "dad chill out!" messages closer to home. The now de facto tagging, rating, and commenting/discussion would be included. The largest feature of the home page would be the search function, which would have sliders for age range of sender, min/max age range of receiver. the interface would have to be sufficiently emotional in order to draw people into taking it seriously. it would certainly make for great birthday eCards huh? I've been toying with the idea of making it not just age but any way to divide humans. sexuality, sex, location, political orientation. But I feel that focusing on generation gaps would give a better experience and might cut down on flame wars. I would love to see a letter from a 99 year old to a 9 month old baby.

Maybe an independent software developer could write an application like this to work on top of Facebook or MySpace.
