Cycle Lock Storage Compartment | |||||||||||||||||
Living in London, every time I use my bicycle I have to take a fairly heavy duty lock with me so that I can chain it up. It would be great if a cycle/ lock manufacturer left the back of the cross bar open so that an armoured bike lock can be slipped inside the tube whilst the bike is being ridden. This way it would mean that I wouldn't have to carry a lock in a pack or over my shoulder and if I wanted my bike to be light-weight for trail riding/ racing I could remove the lock and leave it behind. The cycle manufacturer also get to make more profit per bike as they can sell a custom lock that fits their model.

Fantatsic idea!
When I was a cyclist in the city, the bike lock I used came with a device to holed the lock whilst the bike is being rode. It was one of those U shaped locks.
