I feel that shrimp is very popular, except for religious beliefs and allergies. Thus, my idea. A restaurant called Shrimp, Wings, & Cheesecake. The menu would consist of 20 different ways to have your shrimp sauted including: Scampi, BBQ, Shrimp boil or peel and eat Shrimp, cajun Shrimp, French style Shrimp sauted with Pernot, Irish style shrimp sauted in Guiness beer. Shrimp Spanish style sauted in corona, Greek style sauted Shrimp, French onion soup style sauted Shrimp, Shrimp sauted Coq Au Vin style. Along with the Shrimp there would be several types of wings. Cheesecake would be part of the dessert menu, including classic Cheesecakes like, strawberry, caramel, plain, chocolate. Extreme Cheesecakes would be on the menu such as : Jalepeno Cheesecake, Gorganzola and pear cheesecake, Taragon Cheesecake, Chiplote and mexican chocolate Cheesecake. This could be a casual style restaurant with a bar, and a few burgers, sandwiches, steaks , fish on the menu as well, some healthy salads, some fruit salads. All shrimp entrees could possibly come with a side of grits, and french bread for dipping.

It reminds me of Forrest Gump.
Ironically, those are three things that I would prefer to not eat. I'm not hard to please, but I've never liked shrimp--I don't eat land bugs either.
As for the wings, that's the part of a chicken that has the least meat and it's dark-meat. I don't like to burn my mouth either. I realize now people call patti-formed-chicken 'wings', but to me, I'd rather just eat 'real' chicken.
Finally, cheese cake is neither cheese nor cake. If I were making a list of the foods that were the Worst for your health, I think it would probably be number one, or it would share it with Nacho dip. These both taste good in moderation, but I've found that avoiding them all together is a better strategy because it's hard to find just a little sliver of cheese cake and it'll still cost six dollars.
Food police are coming
Develop synthetic jumbo shrimp, made from soy protein and artificial color, flavoring, etc. Ditto for lobster tail. You can have credit for the idea.
way too many weird people on this site.
ChefJeff, I'm not sure what to make of that last comment.
Seems a guy that wants to start a shrimp and cheesecake restaurant can fit right in with a group of 'wierd' people.
I think you'll find that the people reading this site are more technically oriented than food or culture, at least ones that actually comment regularly are. If you'll notice, your idea has 106 views today. Put an idea under 'cars' and it'll have 200 views in a shorter time.
I am surprised that with 106 views, not even ten percent of the people comment. The reason I put ideas here is because I want to hear what others think, honestly. Maybe only us 'wierd' ones comment.
I didn't mean to offend with my Kansas-farmboy-sensibilities about seafood and fancy cakes. Probably lots of people would just love your restaurant. I'm sure the food we like has something to do with what we've grown up with. I don't think I ever tasted a shrimp (except 'popcorn' shrimp) until I was an adult.
And for the record, I can't latch on to the idea of synthetic shrimp either. I already know that there's fake lobster tail, but it's made from other fishes.
shhs, can you hear that?
hrench,
The counter on this site is a flawed idea. It counts every time someone looks at an idea even if they have looked two or ten times. (Some times I just like to read the comments.) It also counts as a view if you vote and then hit the back button. The counter needs some work.
