LCD monitors could be created with a smaller LCD on the back side to show customer information instead of turning the monitor around. This could also be used for marketing as this side could be seen by customers.

A PEEK INTO THE BILLING MONITOR

pepindia007, Jan 07 2008

A GOOD IDEA WITH A LOT OF POTENTIALI KNOW YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT DOUBLE SIDED LCD PANELS ONE FOR THECUSTOMER AND THE OTHER FOR THE BILLING CLERK. YOU COULD ALSO HAVEA FEW ADS PLAYING ALONG WITH THE BILLING INFORMATION. IT WOULD BEA GREAT WAY OF ADVERSTISING IN ADDITION TO THE FUNCTION OF PROVIDINGA CONVENIENT WAY TO VIEW THE BILLING.

You are a bit late with this idea. Some of the grocery stores here have had a customer monitor for a couple years now, tho' they aren't back to back as the clerk's monitor is on the cash register and the back doesn't face the customer.

An example would be at an insurance agency and instead of the agent turning the monitor a toggle switch could be used to activate the secondary monitor.

Does it need to be back-to-back? A smaller screen in general would suffice.
