Or you could listen to the radio. . .
MY FAVORITE MUSIC ALWAYS IN ON THE TV.
Mine's on the I-Pod.
Don't look at the screen.
I prefer a blank screen - I just don't like the glare of the TV when listeningto music - Imagine the amount of power you are going to save when youcut off power to the CRT.
I have a stereo system at my TV, set up so that I can listen to things with the TV totally off.
Could be like a "video mute" for "viewer discretion". Also good for those music channels that only play audio and show a blank screen--press the button and get a visualization instead.
Oh, goddamit! Your TV already can do this! Just set the contrast on the TV to as dark as it goes and there won't be a bloody picture ! ! ! When you are done listening to your TV you can hit "defaults" and the picture reappears.
There are certain things/ideas that have reason attached to their not existence. In this case, I'd say advertisement is the reason that this doesn't exist.
Instead of using the default settings which is a little cumbersome - Asingle button on the remote should do the blanking job.
Some people cannot stand a glaring TV screen. Some people get annoyed with submissions in full upper case. A matter of taste, I presume.
no problem - take the VCR/cable/SAT receiver and plug its audio output to the stereo line input. The TV may be completely switched off. I do this for years.
My TV can already do this. I can go into the menu and choose "audio only" mode".
What brand of TV is that? (Pepindia would like to know, I assume.)
