One reason behind Brazil's success in the soccer world is the fact that the government subsidizes football academies. This same concept may be applied to India from a non-profit perspective. If one can create non-profit football academies in India, one may harness the talent in the streets - the talent of those who would not be able to otherwise play soccer.

Thus my idea is to create a non-profit football academy in India funded through several investors or through patrons in the West who "choose" a player to sponsor, much in the way that several other charities choose to present a "child" to sponsor.

In India red tapism plays an important part in every walk of life. Truetalent can never see the limelight. Government subsidies are only a eyewash, if you get a grant atleast 50% will have to be paid back to thecorrupt government officers to release these grants. A dedicated effortis needed with the least Government help to dig out the talented soccerplayers. Except for West Bengal, Kerala and and a few North Easternstates where football is live and kicking, we do not find any sort ofsoccer activities in the other states.

If you are interested in building/unearthing new talent in a big countryof 1 billion. You should form a Academy consisting Veteran footballers from Brazil get them to India to search talented footballers. A unbiasedsearch wihtout Government help must be made to find promising new talent.
