Never Iron Again! | |||||||||||||||||
I'm sick of ironing! I've come up with a new idea that may allow us to never have to iron again. The idea is to have a type of hanger for slacks and shirts. The hanger has a expandable tension arms that stretch the garmet slightly so as not to rip any seams but expand the garmet enough to stretch the wrinkles. Once stretched out, you spray the garment with a combination of starch and and anti-wrinkle solution. Hang the garmet in your closet and allow the wrinkles to magically fall out. Ten minutes later your garment is starched, "pressed" and ready to wear. The flexible arms are made using the same technology used in expandable tents. They create an "X" where the garment's main mass is. These hangers are designed for Pants, Long sleeve shirts and short sleeve shirts. The spray solution is a transparent, non-toxic chemical that loosens the fabric enough that it takes on the garments natural shape. Just hang, spray and wear.

Permanent Press clothing has been available around here for years. No need for fancy rigging. Just wash it, dry it, hang it.
You can steam out wrinkles with a portable steamer, while the garment hangs.
The upside-down hangars for pants hold them at the cuff, so the weight of the pants tends to prevent wrinkles.
