What if you were in AA or another group and could press the star button and get another anonymous AA member on the line? Your support network would be there around the world 24/7.The AA phone network.It could be added as a service onto your phone bill. This idea was co-opted and changed from Herbie who had an idea for a phone network for people who wanted to lose weight. good idea Herbie.

First thing that comes to mind is knowing whether a given person is available. If it is an anonymous member, there has to be some way for people to sign on, etc. Also, there would have to be some security to keep pranksters, etc, out.
Maybe you could have something like a live chat or blog on the internet.
This idea could be further co-opted for those who want access to a direct line or conference of their choice. Something like a chat room for phones.
