I'm mad as hell!

In this high tech world we can put satellites in orbit and create 500 gigabyte hard drives, but we can't produce a damn razor blade that gives you more than 5-6 decent shaves!

I'm sick and tired of paying a bloody fortune for so-called premium "double/triple edged" blades from the likes of Gilette et al - and barely managing a week's worth of shaving before the blades go dull.

It's planned obsolescence gone mad! And the razor blade manufacturers are laughing all the way to the bank...at our expense!

Please - can someone develop an "ever-sharp" razor blade,or perhaps a razor blade sharpener for double-edged blades. I will be your very best customer!

There are ceramic razor blades that are hard, sharp and wear resistant and last 100 times longer than steel blades. I'm sure with a little redesign they could be made into a shaving razor. Might be good for your face, definitley a great idea for land fills!

How about a razor with a built-in miniature electrolysis machine. By the time it wears out, your beard should quit growing.

Why not use nano-technology tools to lay down a couple layers of carbon atoms in a diamond crystal structure. Maybe that would last forever. Probably not too cheap - how much would you pay for an ever-sharp? Watch out, the razor blade cartel will get you. :-)

Anyone got an economic invention for how all ideas like this that would make no money for their manufacturers (eg everlasting suits) could get off the ground?

These ideas would make money for the manufacturers - provided they are not the same who produce the single-use type. If a company was the first to produce the everlast razor, they could probably charge people a few hundres bucks. You pay the same for electric shavers, even though they, too, wear out.

Great News...there is now a solution...I have teamed up with a South African inventor to distribute a newly pantented invention called Razorsharp. It works on the same principles as the old barber strap....but in a ergonomically designed form suited for all modern blades.

You have to use it to believ it...I've been using the same blade for more than 2 months...

We hope to have this product on QVC within the next few months. If you are interested before then. Contact me for details
