When disputes with local businesses (read Dry Cleaners, former employer, ex-wife) get messy, picketing is a very effective way to get what you want. How about using undergraduates/anyone (low labor costs) to develop a picketing service where someone pays an hourly fee for the picket force to come stand in front of the business for a specified amount of time. Would have to see if there was demand, but there are times when I would pay a picketer in a heartbeat if I could resolve the dispute quickly.
