Sophisticated Charity Rating | |||||||||||||||||
Several charity-rating organizations exist currently. CharityNavigator.org, Givewell.org, the Better Business Bureau, and even a site that seeks to treat charities as stocks by valuing and trading them. None of these sites, however, address both the percentage of funds the charity spends on their program and the impact a given charity's program has. If people knew the real impact of charities, donations (capital) would more freely flow to the best charities, helping more people in the long run.

This has been suggested by various politicians, etc, over the years. The problem is that many charities rely on pro fund-raisers who keep a large percentage, and they don't like giving out their numbers.
