A majority of the time we use a car horn it is not for the purpose of causing alarm or distress to other drivers or pedestrians. I propose cars come with an alternative horn or honk that has a friendlier and more polite noise. This alternative horn can be used for the following:
-Signal to another driver that you want to enter their lane.
-Indicate to a pedestrian that they can walk in front of you
-Let another car know their lights should be on
-Alert a friend you see on the sidewalk
