Sometimes when travelling internationally you end up with modest amount of foreign currency to get rid of before you leave. Usually when you try to exchange it for your domestic currency at change shops in the airport, they offer really poor rates, charge premiums, and wont accept loose change. A non-profit might be able to raise money for a cause by exchanging money at the most fair exchange rate possible, accepting loose change as donations, and charging either a minimal or no premium. People would get a better rate of exchange than at traditional bank run exchange shops, and everyone can feel good about contributing to a good cause in the process.

The airlines should do so as a PR gesture, up to $100, say. They could limit it to business travelers at first. Virgin Airways could pioneer, if the others are too hidebound.
