Got a problem set due tomorrow for Operations class, trying to cram for that interview, and you've got no time to schedule that doctors appointment or take your car for a service? Working another late night at the office, with no time to pick up the dry cleaning or look for that anniversary present for your mother in law? With Rent-A-Personal-Assistant, you can focus on the most important task at hand, without worrying about all of the "extra" things that you need to do. Simply schedule a 5 minute call at the beginning of your day or week, and leave a message with the tasks that you need done, and when you need them done by. You can pay by the hour and set up an account with personal preferences.

Hello everybody from Portugal, Europe. I am doing some research to start this kind of business here in my hometown Porto (where Port wine comes from) and I would like to focus on people that come from outside the country and need their visit to be the most time efficient possible. I do believe this is a very useful idea and I think it would be great to establish a worldwide network of this kind of services. What do you think, and how could it be done?

This service is now existing. They call it virtual assistance service. I believe opnly two companies are offering this service at the moment. one is based in the US and the other in India. This type of outsourcing has huge potential

Here's an article on "Lifestyle managers" who handle higher-end tasks for people. It describes a company called Serenity Now, among others.
