contact lens change indicator | |||||||||||||||||
Do you ever forget when to throw out your current pair of disposable contact lenses? This product would be a contact lens replacement indicator, similar to the Brita filter change indicator. There would be a small sensor inside the contact lens cup, and a panel on the outside of the case indicating when it’s time to replace the used lenses. Cases would be available in two versions: 7-day or 30-day. Lenses should be replaced after actual uses and not calendar days; for example, if you wear lenses every other day, you can wear monthly lenses for two months. Thus, this product would save money for such users, and for overly-frequent purchasers in general, by tracking usage. It would also help prevent deposit buildup and discomfort that can result from old contact lenses.

Calendar programs on PDAs and computers can help with this, in the meantime.
