This would be specially relevant of we are in a new place or town. Suppose we want to check out the various "events" in a city (specially a place we are new to) eg parties, places to hang out, restaurants etc. We can currently use search services on mobiles to get to know a "text only" list of restaurants or pubs etc in the city with their contact information.
My idea is to include a "live" picture of the various events, aong with the text based info. For example, if I'm in a new place and whant to check out the public places where there's a party happening-I could make a better decision if I had the snapshot of the place (without actually showing the faces of people -due regard to privacy)-say pictures of parties at hotels, discs, restuarants or say concerts that are happening currently, on my mobile phone. I could then just go to the place i wanted to by seeing if that's the kind of ambience/food/party I would want to go to. The visual image would help me make a much more informed choice than just a text message.

A compromise would be a "dead" picture of the venue. This would at least be better than text, and would be much less costly to implement. A mild extension of Google's wonderful Street View (coming eventually to a city near you) could incorporate this.
