Ever notice how often you find yourself with just one sock wondering what happened to the entire pair? Seems socks are bound to lose their other half. While some folks are quite organized with their laundry, if you're like me, you lose a sock all the time. And while laundry clips or sock bags exist to prevent it its just one more thing to buy. Why not just have a small internal piece of velcro, a snap, or a small magnet on the hem of your sock? Just pull them off and put them together. They are not bound to lose their other half and it requires no extra energy... pull 'em off, put together, throw in laundry bag or washer. That simple.

Great idea Josh. Matching lost socks results in hours of lost productivity every year. This idea is also more practical than adding RFID to socks.

Tchibo sold black socks with about 30 different dark-grey symbols, always the same in a pair, so there was only a small chance that you get 4 or 6 of the same look in one batch.

I only ever buy similar black socks. That way, I never need to match them up.If I lose one, I put one aside until I lose another - no problem whatsoever.
