For those of us who travel alot, it can be very difficult to leave our pets. Especially if you have a pet that absolutely hates being taken to a kennel. Wouldn’t it be great if anytime you were leaving town you could call a pet sitting company who would come into your home during the day and take care of your pet. Depending on the type of pet this could just be once a day (for a cat). The pet does not need to leave the comfort of his/her own home and will still get some love an affection (not to mention a clean litter box and food).

This service exists in New Haven.
They already have pet hotels, but you have to drop them off yourself.
there are several businesses in my area that perform this service. I know that there are "dog walkers" most everywhere,their job is to go to your home and get your dog while you are at work, most of them will add the service of putting out food and water while they are there for a small fee. you just have to find one who you can trust to enter your house while you are away from home for an extended period
