Email to International AirMail | |||||||||||||||||
Many people have family and friends living in regions of the world that have limited internet and phone access. An easy web-based service could be created that would allow people to send an email that would be printed and mailed anywhere in the world. A unique email address would be created, which linked the recipients physical address and the senders billing information. Once created the sender could send an email to their friend or relative living anywhere in the world from any internet ready device (computer, cell phone, etc.). I believe people would be willing to pay a substantial premium for the convenience of sending international airmail without the hassle of the finding international envelopes and postage. Furthermore, to encourage letter-writing, a person preparing to start in the Peace Corps could create an email account, prefund it, and distribute that email address to select friends and family. I believe such a service would be welcomed, and possibly encourage by organizations such as the Peace Corps and World Teach. If successful, it might help bring back the lost art of letter writing.
