I tend to buy the black 'cheapie' handbag at our local fashion stores. Problem with the black 'cheapie' handbag is that the lining are black too. Make the lining inside the handbag bright pink, orange, green, or blue and it will be much easier to find the black cellphone, the the black purse and everything else. And it's funky too.

White is best for contrast. The insides of army tanks are white.
Or add a "refrigerator light" to the bag that turns on when it's opened.
