Mole deterrant | |||||||||||||||||
Moles on the lawn cause untold grief. Pour about an egg cupful of petrol into the hole; cover up and you will find he/she will return at a much later date so repeat the proceedure meantime you have complete control based on a periodic schedule. Quick attention means that you have no significant damage to the lawn and I am sure none to the mole or other beasties except them having the impression that there is a nasty smell around.

I quite like moles and this is much better than killing them in a trap
yeah, except for the contamination of the groundwater. I don't want petrol (or gasoline, as it is called here in the U.S.A) in my well water. I have mole tracks in my yard too. better find a non-toxic way of deterring them.
There are many other ways of ridding a lawn of moles without harming the moles OR the environment & they work better. If you think it doesn't cause damage to the lawn, you need to learn more about soil ecology.
